Photoshop :: Can't Use Adobe Extension Manager To Install CS5 Plugin

I am trying to install a plug-in from PSKiss to Photoshop CS5 (version 12.0.4). I'm using Adobe Extension Manager CS5.5, and I'm running Windows 7 on my laptop.
Although I'm following up with PSKiss to see if there's a problem at this end, I also see an issue with Adobe Extension Manager. When I open it, the Install button is grayed-out. I can see neither of the plug-ins I've already installed in Photoshop, nor can I install anything new. I am running Adobe Extension Manager as Administrator.
Also, yes, I'm using my laptop with an Administrator account.

I've heard that version 2 can only be installed as a plug-in, whereas version 1 was stand alone.
I've read that the advantage of the stand alone version is that it doesn't affect memory in the same way the plug-in would when installed in Photoshop.
Just wondered whever there is a huge difference in actual extracting performance between the versions, and whever stand alone versus plug-in is relevent.

Photoshop :: Extension SF5 Plugin Crashes CC On Launch?

If I enable Suitcase Fusion 5's auto-activation plug-in for Photoshop CC, the app crashes on launch. If I disable it, Photoshop launches, and performs, normally. The Extensis plug-ins for InDesign and Illustrator work without issue. I've contacted Extensis.
My software and OS are all current; I'm using a 17-inch, mid-2009 MacBook Pro with Processor: 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, Memory: 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, and Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT 512 MB.
I leave the plug-in deactivated and simply open fonts manually, but I'd really like the Extensis plug-in to work as expected. Desperate for a solution, or at least an understanding of the incompatiblity.

Photoshop :: CC Trial - Can Install Panel Extension

I have PsCC installed and running OK as trial, before I activate paid version, to verify it works OK for me.
I tried to install an extension .zxp made for PsCC but extension manager warns me I need to have ver. 14.0 or greater (which I have) to install the panel, so it does nothing.
I tried an update to extension manager but it is up to date.So, will PsCC trial not accept an extension .zxp? Or do I need a different installer? Or how do I install the PsCC .zxp other than dbl clicking on it?

3ds Max :: MParticle Extension Will Not Install On It

I have a Subscription and the file 'is' available to me in my Subscription account online. I downloaded the correct installer and installed it. The install ran without error with antivirus diabled. I rebooted due to habit mostly but when launching Max, the Extension (new Operators) are not there. I tried starting a PFlow Emitter/MassFx instance incase they were content- sensitive and only showed up if other conditions were met but no luck. I can't seem to get the Extension installed. I uninstalle and reinstalled. No luck...

My Vista system has developed a few bugs which are not cured by Norton 360.Dragging a window causes it to maximize in a few programs PASTE does not work in some programs -- including X4..The CROP tool stopped working in X4 but is OK in X5 High-lighting is erratic in WORD etc.
I can only run a 'clean' install from my OEM disk which means reloading all applications. I was wondering if I should give up and install Windows 7.

I have a new 15' macbook pro, and have the set requirements to run Photoshop CS6 even after the recent updates. However, I still cannot access the 'Filter Gallery', and when I went to find the so called 'Filter Gallery' plugin folder--what do you know that plugin is missing all together.
I've already done the Preferences, show all plugins, etc... deal and this is not the issue here. My Filter Plugin is missing all together, and my macbook pro was purchased brand new from the Mac store, 3-4 months ago.
I have been a paying Adobe Creative Cloud member since day one, when it first became available, and now I'm over the top upset over this problem! How can I fix this missing plugin?

I copied pictures from hard drive to external hard drive and did a format on that hard drive.When I try to open pics it says that JPG marker is missing and some of them can't open at all. The ones I can open, they look distorted (shredded).
I tried several repairing programs but without success. Pics are valuable to me - half of life collected. And huge number of them.
Extension of images is not changed, file size is still normal, even (on opening folder) thumbnail show image as it should be for short period of time, but when image is fully loaded, thumbnail also shows distorted image.

I am having trouble using the Sketchbook Plugin for AutoCAD. The 'SketchBook Designer' tab and it's content appears and works. When I create a 'New Canvas' the canvas appears on the screen, but the 'Create Canvas' tab does not sequentially appear. All of the settings do not appear and I cannot apply the canvas, hence I do not have any access to the SketchBook features.

I'm learning how to create extension (flex - extension builder) for Illustrator and how to make it communicate with a plugin.
The samples provided in the SDK detailed how to load /unload extension from a menu item from Illustrator, and how to add / remove EventListeners to make the magic happen.
to sum up, this is something like that:
1- click on the menu item
2- load extension
3- add listeners
4- do your stuff......
5- remove listeners
6- unload extension
Basically my plugin is a module/service which is in charge of dealing with / modifying artwork tree. It has no User Interface.
My extension will have a user of this service.
What I would like to do is to load my extension as soon as my plugin is loaded, and unload the extension when the plugin will be unloaded.
Or notify when extension is loaded or unloaded.
Is that possible and hw could I achieve that?

Knockout is the leading masking program that Corel Corp. acquired from a cinema bluescreen company, Ultimatte. KO enables you to remove an object from the background in a similar fashion to the extract tool in Photoshop. However Knockout is a much more powerful tool and enables you to remove “impossible” objects like glass, liquids, hair and smoke.

Documentation is superb, with a full color manual and an updated quicktime tutorial on the enclosed CD. In about 15 minutes I was ready to try out the software.

Installation was a snap on OSX as the product is fully carbonized for OSX. To date, Corel Corp. have more products for OSX than any other company. (It also works on 8.6 and up and Windows 98, 2000 and XP.) Knockout 2 is the 3rd Program to be released from Procreate. Procreate is a new branch from Corel which handles the professional graphics side of things. The previous 2 releases are Painter 7 and KPT effects.

The first improvement to strike me immediately is that Knockout is now a plug-in instead of a stand alone product. This saves a lot of time and hassle with alpha channels. Another great improvement is the memory hungry beast has been put on a diet. The folks at Procreate have reduced its memory demands, and anyone who has used 1.5 on the Mac can now allocate that RAM somewhere else. It also now supports CMYK images.

Using Knockout 2 is more streamlined than before with the addition of Photoshop Shortcuts, no more having to learn a whole new arsenal of keyboard tricks. It did a splendid job of quickly lifting this image.

KO is fairly easy to use and had 4 different levels of masking. I was surprised to find that version 2 doesn’t just have a lot of usability enhancements but also does an even better job than 1.5 of detecting the edges of an image. If you don’t get the image quite right there are tools that enable you to fine tune the selections.

There is also the welcome addition of the “touchup tools” yes, we now have a paintbrush and eraser tool for quick fixes, this is one of my favorites. You can view your work as an alpha channel or choose different colors to display against your masked image, you can even choose another image as the background. If you totally mess it up you can revert the file and there are now 99 levels of undo.

If you look at the close up here, you can see how clean the masking is around the hair. I was very impressed with the results. With a little practice and time you could remove almost anything.

My conclusion is that Knockout 2 is well built and the new features certainly make it worth the upgrade. It is a strong program that does what it is designed to do very well. If you are a professional designer who regularly extracts images from their backgrounds it is a must buy. The only draw-back is a pretty steep recommended price of $329 and the upgrade for US$149.

In my review of Knockout 1.5 I said “with a stronger undo feature, 1.5 would receive a solid 5 out of 5.” Version 2 definatly deserves that rating.
